Dr Andrew Gerber

Dentist

Andrew graduated from Queensland University in 1994 and spent two years with the Royal Australian Air Force before moving into private practice at Burleigh Heads. He has a special interest in implant and cosmetic dentistry and has built a reputation on providing exceptional quality restorative and cosmetic dentistry. Andrew's interest extends to neuromuscular dental care and he has undertaken extensive studies under Dr Steven Olmos, founder of the TMJ & Sleep Therapy Centre,  which has given him the knowledge to assist patients who have acute and chronic pain. His aim is to assist patients with TMJ disorders to re-gain a quality of life with minimal pain or discomfort. He has also studied with the renowned Las Vegas Institute. Andrew is a member of the Australian Dental Association.  He is also contracted by some of Australia's largest dental supply companies to provide clinical training for other dentists.

Away from work, Andrew is an enthusiastic cyclist who loves competing in both road cycling racing, track racing and triathlons . He is married to Nicole and is well out numbered at home by females, with 3 daughters.

Dr Jacki Obst

Dentist

Dr Jacki graduated from Queensland University with honours in 1999. She joined our team in 2005 after working in a variety of general practices, to compliment our growing need for quality care. She is experienced in treating all manner of dental requirements, from general family dentistry to complex aesthetic solutions. Dr Jacki is a member of the Australian Dental Association. Jacki has a strong belief that quality treatment and regular maintenance is the key to long term stability and keeping your teeth for life. 

In her spare time Jacki enjoys a variety of team sports, and is often found on a netball court or playing touch football.

Dr Diana McCubbin

Dentist

Dr Diana qualified in 2004 with honours from The Royal London Hospital and worked in private practice in London before moving to Australia with her husband. She enjoys all aspects of restorative dentistry and cosmetic dentistry and her calm gentle manner makes even the most nervous patient feel at ease. She is a member of the American Academy of Operative Dentistry. She is currently undergoing extensive training through the Las Vegas Institute.  In her spare time Dr Diana teaches undergraduates at the Griffith University and finds this very fulfilling.

Aside from dentistry Dr Diana enjoys painting and outdoor running down by the beach.

Sophie & Shanti

Oral Therapist / Hygienist

Where dental hygiene is concerned, Sophie and Shanti form the Preventive Care department and aim to promote excellent oral health standards by educating and guiding patients to successful oral hygiene according to each individuals needs. The Preventive Care team also try to provide these services to the community by visiting preschools, schools and aged care facilities to share their knowledge and expertise.

Our Oral Health Therapist, Sopie, is trained as both a Dental Hygienist and Dental Therapist.  She has a particular interest in treatment and prevention of dental decay and disease in children and young adults. Sophie builds a wonderful rapport with her patients and tries to make dental visits and experiences as fun as possible, she completed her studies through Griffith University in 2006.

Shanti has a specific passion in the prevention and treatment of gum or periodontal disease and achieve excellent results with her treatment and maintenance approaches. Shanti graduated from The Curtin University of Technology in 2003. 

Nicole

Administration Coordinator

Nicole looks after the business, administration and human resource components of our practice. Her background is in general nursing, women's health and health education and she oversees the maintenance of our high standard of patient care.

Trudy

Practice Manager/Treatment Coordinator

Trudy manages the team and coordinates the exceptional service you will experience each time you visit us at Gerber Dental Group. She began her career in dental in 1995, she has her Certificate III in Dental Assiting and in 2003 she completed her Dimploma in Practice Management at University of New England.   She has both clinical and management experience and is available to assist with any questions you may have.

Customer service means ensuring that all aspects of your care are coordinated and organised to suit you. At Gerber Dental Group we will provide you with your own treatment coordinator who will liaise with you during your treatment plan and any follow up care. Trudy has the expertise, the knowledge and the commitment to ensure that your dental treatment experience is nothing short of exceptional.

As the backbone of the clinical team, our dental nurses are highly trained and skilled in all areas of dental and patient care. Infection control, radiation exposure, equipment and stock maintenance and patient comfort are a vital part of any modern practice. Sharlene, Stacey, Jessica, Kristy, Jess & Kylee will assist your dentist to provide you with the highest possible standard of care.
